Christ Lutheran Church's
Organizations

Here we'd like to provide a brief introduction to the many active groups found at our church, along with a name of who to contact for more information

ALPHA: Contact Keith Fricke, Debbie Hackney, Ann Picciano or Pastor Dave This coming fall there will be a chance to be introduced, or reintroduced, to the basics of Christian faith.  Alpha will begin in September and run for 11 weeks.  The night will begin with a provided meal at 6:00 p.m. and end promptly at 9:00 p.m.  Each Alpha night includes a presentation on the basics of the Christian faith and then an opportunity for discussion.  Here's a chance to explore, share and ask any questions about anything with regards to the Christian religion and  about God.  We also hope that this will be a time for folks to grow spiritually.

=Why and how should I read the Bible?

=Why and how do I pray?

            =What about the Holy Spirit?

Crop Walk: Contact John Roeland
CROP Walks take place all across the United States. They are organized locally with the support of Church World Services. The purpose of these walks is to raise money to help alleviate hunger in the world. The first annual Willoughby CROP Walk took place in 1998 and was organized by several Willoughby area churches including Christ Lutheran.  Twenty-five percent of the money raised during a CROP Walk stays in the local community. The local money from the Willoughby CROP walk has gone to the Willoughby Food Bank and the Salvation Army. The remaining money raised from the walks goes to overseas projects. These projects are under the auspices of Church World Services and many affiliate organization including Lutheran World Relief.  By the way, CROP is an acronym for: Christian Rural Outreach Program.  This years CROP walk will be in October,  2003.
